Catagory 5 hurricane got the best of me... I ended up throwing up for two days, intermitantly. we steered around it. Meaning we got 70 mph winds. it got up to 120 mph near Jamaica. It also touched down in San Juan Puerto Rico right before we got there. Meaning all the little vendors weren't there, no tourism. We have alott of Jamaicans on board and i felt bad because they couldn't contact home. Our satellite was hit by lightening . unbelieable lightening,. it was so often that it looked like it was light oout but instead it was 2am. I was sitting in the mess hall eating dinner (by mmyself) and the Captain and first officer came in. (usually they never would eat with staff but he's really nice. anyway he asked if tthe two of them could jjoin me. it was funny becasue everyone fturned around to see who he asked to eat with.

I charmed the pants off them. I had them howling with laughter. The captain is from Ireland and the first officer is from Norway. Anywwho, long story short is that the first officer is like 32, he called me to see if I would join them and some other officers at the Captains table that evening. I had fun and they got a good chuckle at my cruisn' nativity. like for one, i kept calling it a boat. i guess there is a big difference between ship, boat, yacht, vessel...

All that aside, i got really homesick and almost jumped ship and swam home.

dad, the movies on board are changed monthly. we show about two different new realeases a day. that aside our budget to purchase the rights to play them for just these movies is $40,000 a month. yeah that is a big chunk of change.

we play movies in portuguese, spanish, french, german, italian, and chinese. the funny thing the other day is I met someone in the mess hall who spoke (click) kosa as his first language. He was impressed when I identified it first.

I feel bad for the phillipine workers as they are repairing the boat. in the wind they had to go out there and tie down all the deck chairs and anything up there. passengers weren't forced to go to there cabins but they weren't aloud outside, the doors were all "shut down"

all the water tight doors were shut too and if you have seen the titanic, they are located on decks a,2, 3. hence where all the chinese workers and labor crew. Kinda sad really.

so aftera ll said and done, we had alot of passengers sick, alot of people in our hospital onboard. alotta elderly people were in there too i heard. not a very fun place to be a nurse....or doctor...

hope all is well and i can't wait to talk to you all in Bayonne. I still don't my shcedule but as far as i know I am going to the voyager... love you all

Howdy fam, not much exciting this trip. Went to Bermuda, and the museum there, dad, thought you'd be proud. I am REALLY tired though, I have the night duty.. I hope all is well. I miss you all and hopefully get to talk to you when I get to Bayonne the 17th. Hopefully this time, we get to port on time.... we got a new captain and he likes to "lolligag" which sucks becasue then it makes all of our jobs harder...Still going to meetings and kinda found a friend (prays Jesus)...

love you all

Hi fam. Called you via roaming but then my deck phone rang so I had to go. It was good hearing from you mom and dad. I am interested to know how much that costs...it can't be that much right? I was in the US Virgin islands sooooo...technically that is still in the US. Miss you tons. Long day of filming and editing to do. Can't wait to talk to you all in two days!!!! XOXOXOX

Haha Bobby?? What a horse. Man if that horse were a human it would be Tristain Pixler's mom, Lynn. Anywho, rainy and kinda puny here in St. Maarten. It's kinda pretty when it's like that becasue the water looks even bluer. I might go to Antigua tomorrow if the weather is okay. It's about an hour boat taxi.

Earlier in Bermuda a couple rented scooters (note to self never do... i hear story after story) the couple each had a kid on the back of them and they collided. Both parents had to be airlifted from the helic pad. It was really sad. I had a show during that time or I would had try to take some pictures of the helicopter for you dad. I think they are in stable condition but both had to get some surgery.

Been long days but I haevn't jumped ship yet. I met a girl named Julia who is nice. We went and got our toes painted at the spa on board. That was a nice treat.

I miss you all and can't wait to hear from you.

It really is crappy out, rainy, windy and not your "Bermuda" weather... oh well...I miss you all and hope that I can get a hold of you all tomorrow...It's 4 hours ahead here so I won't try to wake anyone wehn we get into port at 10:00.. oh yeah, here are some beauties... I miss yu all! a little of my work and my abode....

hey fam... anyone check the weather for Bermuda??? Tell me what your hearing, it doesn't look good for the Explorer of the Seas...

Stever, thanks for the advice... I guess I was commenting on my own comments... how selfish!
So for those who didn't read my comments.. I cut and pasted them..
(These were from the last two days...)

Oh well, we have our share of pukers... geez louise...I was going to be one of them but Officer's don't puke. We hit some rough sea's and after rocking side to side in my bed, I turned on the lights and tried to pretend I was in a rocking chair.Man I tell you what, some of these tourists should be thrown overboard. Nothing shouts "American" than bermuda shorts matching "reunion t-shirts" for the whole family, and a camera around the neck.My shower is pretty small, I don't think I will be showering much, I am getting a bit clausterphobic. As you will soon see, from my pictures, I don't have a port-hole, so I get all confused as to what time it is. Yesterday it was 7 (am) and I thought I was late for a show that I had to film, so i go hauling booty up 11 decks (that is 22 flights of stairs) and find out that I was a good 12 hours early. Maybe I will get a huge piece of paper and cut it into a circle and color it blue so I think I have a window.I had 2 funny commments from a tourists the other day. One was, "Does the crew sleep on board?" and the other was when we were still docked at port in NYC, this lady was complaining becasue she "ordered an o cean view and she can only see the parking lot..." try to be those stories... I miss you all and love hearing from you.bon voyage!!!

(yesterday)
ahoy my fine maties!!!! I uploaded some pics. Don't worry mother, they are PG. I hope you guys can find them, i had to use my facebook as a host for them. Steve, if you can't see them, maybe you could give me some advice.. you know, one techy to another??? oh just a rainy day at sea. it wan't rough water's teill it cleared up (I don't have a clue why) but everyone onboard says that right after a storm is when it gets pretty rocky... and that it was..."hand rails must be used at all time..." Bermuda tomorrow, I will take some photos or have someone "foto me" and maybe have lobster tail-only becasue I will be thinking of you and your enjoyable company when I eat it.. I love you all and look forward to seing if you get my phto's. P.S. Does anyone want to start a "yogging club" I am thinkinbg about running a half marathon. that's right family, we could run together, matching shirts, waterbottles, and holding hands! love you all and to all a good night.
